14 Days of Prayer for Redeemer - Day # 1 - Gospel Proclaimed

In fourteen days, we will have our first corporate worship service at Redeemer Church.   I want to request those involved in this church plant, and all of our friends and family to pray with us for the next fourteen days.  Each day we will have a specific aspect of Redeemer that we call to God and ask for His blessing, direction and guidance.  We will have a post each day and I will post a status on Facebook.  May God bind us together for His purpose for Redeemer Church.

DAY #1 - God, may the Gospel of the Kingdom be preeminent at Redeemer Church and may we proclaim it to a world that is lost, dead, and in need of the light to dispel the darkness of sin.

Matthew 4:23 And He [Jesus] went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

I had the joy of attending FBCN South Campus yesterday, our parent church, and hear my friend and brother in Christ, Jeremy Freeman, proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom boldly.  He is a servant of God, a wonderful pastor for FBCN and has a heart for God's Kingdom.  He mentioned this verse in his message yesterday, and I had to echo it's beautiful simplicity.  Jesus proclaimed the Gospel (good news) about His Kingdom!

May Redeemer Church boldly proclaim this message. God has saved us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Last week we heard the State of the Union Address from President Obama.  May God bless the United States, our leaders, and may He direct us to live and legislate according to His ways put forth in His Word.  Jesus came during turmultous political times.  He inaugurated an eternal Kingdom and proclaimed that this was 'good news' for all that would hear.

We need the Gospel of the Kingdom.  May Redeemer Church boldy proclaim King Jesus, His rule and reign, and that it is good news to all that hear.

Grace & Peace

  1. It's very to see God already at work! I cannot wait to see what He has in store for us in the future! Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Thanks be to God for the plans He has for our church! I can't wait to be a part of it!
